Kembali: TAPAU Playlist Bulan Ini – November 2024

ITS BACK!! Setelah lama senyap (maafkan kami), finally kita akan curate monthly playlist once again starting this month. Tapi kali ni kita mintak kawan-kawan dari media indie juga sorang-sorang pilih lagu yang dorang discover dan nak share dengan komuniti setiap bulan.

TAPAU Playlist Bulan Ini – November 2024

Track 1: @kelibat – “Hempas Diri”

Pilihan: @zhafirinzulkifli (Bawah Tanah Rasmi / @gedegang)

“Aku discover lagu ‘Hempas Diri’ dari Emir, vokalis Kelibat sendiri dan aku sendiri memang mengikut perkembangan Kelibat sejak diorang aktif gila-gila sejak tahun ni.”

“Aku suka lagu ‘Hempas Diri’ sebab kedengaran ceridak-raw-slumber, kental dengan bunyi bingit yang menyenangkan dan kekal dengan etos DIY, sesuai dengan tajuk lagu ‘Hempas Diri’”

Track 2: @narrathief – “Mula Baru”

Pilihan: @kumuhamadsyafiq (Rondivu)

“Tak silap, aku jumpa klip teaser diorang kat IG. Lepas tu aku mula dengar orang cakap Lenny Maddthelin ada band baru. Sejujurnya, benda pertama yang aku tertarik dengan lagu ni ialah muka Lenny dalam MV. Aku suka gila dia punya gaya macam high/pucat sambil nyanyi serak-serak gitu haha.”

Aku agak suka barang-barang yang ada elemen math rock tapi Mula Baru dan Narrathief jadi extra special sebab karakter vokal Lenny. Aku rasa potensi muzik + gaya vokal Lenny ni besar, boleh buat macam-macam. Ini trek debut dan ia sangat promising.”

Track 3: @awkwardpedestrian – “Tunnel”\

Pilihan: @zimahmadi (Awful Track Record / @gedegang)

“Got to know it from Awkward Pedestrian himself aka Anwar Hadi (formerly guitarist of pop punk emo outfit Pasca Sini). I’ve been following them since their first EP, Kayu Norwegia, and received the latest EP, Supine Position, via press kit.”

There’s something very satisfying about a short burst of emo honesty with a good melody and emotional lyrics. It’s pining, it sounds a bit like Javier Cocker from Pulp, and the line “it’s just another phase, another tunnel, i lie to myself” just makes you stare at the ceiling while waxing existential about that one small moment you had that you’ll remember forever.

Track 4: @feral-fuzz – “Lemas”

Pilihan: @fungusinthemilk (@tapauasia)

“First discovered Feral going my first gig at Petai Belalang. They played an amazing set. Started listening to them on the way back via foot and public transport, and completely file like I was living a music video capturing the sad but somehow beautiful side of Kuala Lumpur.”

“Lemas felt to me like a perfect soundtrack untuk naik public transport lewat malam layan observe kekotoran dan kesunyian KL”

Track 5: @solaris – “I see all of You (1+1=1)”

Pilihan: @shmolpeanut (Noisey Headspace)”

“I first came across Solaris after their performance at a shoegaze-only gig called Cybergaze last year.”

“Their second single, “I See All of You (1+1=1),” delivers a palpable melancholia, like the missing ingredient to cure a lingering fever. Whether it’s the sample from Andrei Tarkovsky’s Mirror or Iff’s haunting yet comforting vocals, the track keeps you levitating throughout.”

So thats our playlist for this month, harap korang ada jumpa discovery baru dari playlist ni dan jangan lupa follow and support all the artists and our media partners.

Let us know what you think of the tracks and jumpa lagi next month!
