Syakir (Instagram, Spotify) is an albino guitarist & singer-songwriter based in Malaysia. He is mainly influenced by the blues but he also plays pop, rock and hip hop.

Highlights

1. Performed at Where Else Sunway, The Bee, Merdekarya, KL Journal, Ploy, Dataran Merdeka (finishing top 10 in a national talent battle), Volkswagen Festival and Urbanscapes 2019.
2. Several songs Syakir wrote or co-wrote have been featured on local media outlets
   1. Snapfingers, a 2020 self-produced solo release, reached Top 4 on Hitz FM Malaysian English Top 10
   2. Catch Feelings (2021), another self produced solo release, was featured on Rakita Lokalah chart.
   3. Released an indie blues EP, Jika Kau Biru with The Rombongan, which has been described as a continuation of the Malaysian blues legacy and was shortlisted under Vans Best Top 100. 
   4. Coretan Diari was featured on Demi Dia (2013), a TV3 Akasia drama produced by Aziz M Osman
3. Izinkan was nominated for Muzik Muzik 29 (2014)
